CONSTANCE: Constance Blackwood
Constance is the salt of the earth in Uranium City. She is often overlooked and undervalued, but she is truly the nicest girl in town. Despite her genuine kindness, high school has taken a toll on her, making her feel ashamed of her hometown. Constance’s story explores the complexities of identity and pride.
NOEL: Noel Gruber
Noel is Uranium City’s aspiring poet and the only gay man at Saint Cassian High School. He embraces a rich fantasy life and is infatuated with Marlene Dietrich’s character from the movie “The Blue Angel.” Noel feels out of place in his town and dreams of escaping to a different era.
MISCHA: Mischa Bachinski
Mischa is the self-proclaimed “bad boy” of the Saint Cassian choir. Adopted as a teen from Ukraine, he carries a deep resentment toward Canada due to its contributions to the Chernobyl disaster. Mischa channels his rage into his passion for hip-hop and considers himself the best rapper in North Eastern Saskatchewan.
RICKY: Richard Potts
Ricky, despite struggling with a degenerative disease that has rendered him unable to speak, possesses a vivid imagination and elaborate fantasy life. His alter ego transports him to the Zolarian Starcluster, where he becomes a rival prophet and supreme leader of beings evolved from cats.
JANE: Jane Doe
Jane is a mysterious and haunting presence in the musical. Despite being in the same choir, none of the other members seem to know her. She shares peculiar thoughts and catchphrases that leave others feeling unsettled and uneasy around her.
VIRGIL & THE UNDERWORLDS: The Band
